Just saw this. I'm a fan of dark humor, so Strangelove by way of Gross Pointe Blank is right up my alley.

Plus, god help me, but Cusak has made me like Hilary Duff.

(Boom, boom, boom/Bang, bang, bang/There's a war going on in this heart of mine...)

I love that she made him puke :) Of course, the end explanation makes it a little less funny...

Speaking of the end, is it as dark as I think it is?

I tried watching it with Jenn while she was here, the beginning was really hard to get into, and then we were busy with other things-I'll have to try to watch it again, one of these days.

Disliked the anti-gun sentiment of this one.

I've heard that criticism. While I enjoy Cusack's movies, I loathe his politics. From every account, I've heard that this movie is over-the-top preachy.

That said, I loved Lord of War.

Damn it, I like his stuff too, but I find his ideals despicable.

The man disowned Better Off Dead and One Crazy Summer.

He's dead to me.

What!? The french exchange student and the '67 Camaro with hideaway headlights?! The TWO DOLLARS mantra. I agree. What a jackass.

Ahhh, it wasn't anti-gun, so much as anti-gunman-for-hire. And quite a few of the humorous flourishes actually recall Better Off Dead. (Especially the headgear in the opening sequence!)
