As I am tryng to figure out what to go see over this weekend's holiday (Thanksgiving in the USA) I was hoping someone could give me a non-spoiler review of Transporter 3. I know it just started yesterday but if anyone has seen it feel free to give it a thumbs up or down. Personally I was split on the first two. Thanks in advance...

I liked the first one. An interesting take on the Samurai/Man With No Name/Mad Max mythology. The second one was ridiculous eye candy. Unless I hear a really good review of this one, I'll wait for DVD.

This one looks like all flash and no substance--a 90-minute music video with overblown, Jerry Bruckheimer effects. I'll pass. I'd rather watch Twilight. Yes--a movie about a girl becoming the most popular kid in highschool and falling in love with a vampire.

exactly. Thats why I was trolling for a review or two before deciding.

Too late. Saw it with my step-daughter. There's $40 I'll never get back.

I feel obligated to clarify (hopefully without violating my 'no spoiler' request.) The style of this film took ADD/ADHD to new levels. As a fan of well choreographed fight scenes, I do not like the "one to two second cut" style. I want to see continuous/contiguous action. They had Corey Yuen at the helm and Jason Statham can fight. Let them do their thing! Reading reviews of other films it would seem that this is becoming a trend, but this movie had it in spades. But it wasn't just the fight scenes that had this cut style. In addition there were segments that were clearly accelerated by speeding up the playback. The final straw was an effect that I do not know what to call. I don't know if it has a name but what happens is that frames get cut out and the film stitched together. For example, if the film showed Statham running across a room the next thing you see would be him 5 feet father along. No camera angle change or any other excuse. Just him 5 feet further along. Like I couldn't be bothered to watch him run those extra 5 feet. Good grief. But if this doesn't bother you and you liked the second Transporter film, then you will enjoy this one too.
