"There's GOLD in them thar hills!"

Honestly, this game is freaking HILARIOUS! I have never laughed so hard during an FPS as I have while playing this game. The characters are a blast, and the action is non-stop, and you steal a GOLD PLATED HELICOPTER.
Spoiler
So far, my favorite part is when we kidnap the dictator and steal his pimped out GOLD PLATED HELICOPTER.
I haven't finished it yet, but so far I'm liking it :)

Almost a year after the original post, I bough Bad Company. I just finished its solo campaign. Pretty good, although it eventually gets a little repetitive. The flippant almost-breaching of the fourth wall by your AI-controlled teammates is possibly the most entertaining part. For instance, if you get killed and have to re-do an area, they might quip "didn't we just kill these guys?" or "I'm not sure I survived that..."

Anyway, time to take it online now. Since I'm a fan of Battlefield 1943, I hope to enjoy this.

I'm excited for BC2, but so far the only previews I've seen focus exclusively on the multiplayer aspect. I haven't seen anything about the single player campaign yet, which is what I enjoyed most about it.

I'm not surprised by the emphasis on multiplayer. The Battlefield series is traditionally a multiplayer-only one. Bad Company was the first Battlefield to feature a proper solo campaign.

I'm enjoying the online modes. Gold Rush is frantic in a completely different way to the campaign, and Conquest is pretty good too. It probably helps that I've had some experience with Battlefield 1943, so I have some idea what I'm doing.
