Hmm. Well, he's in a Beatles tribute band. And he shares the same last name. Thanks Murrin.

Uh-uh, don't think so...your uncle's cousin is also your fathers cousin (or mothers). That makes him your second cousin.

Your uncle's cousin's children would be second cousin's, once removed.

A first cousin once removed is your cousin's child.

-My child and my brother's child are first cousins to each other.
-My grandchild and my brother's child are first cousins once removed.
-My grandchild and my brother's grandchild are second cousins.

As for t he question, is you uncle's cousin not also your mother's or father's cousin?

...

Unless it is an uncle related through marriage, in which case there is no relation? But balon did say...

So I would assume this Uncle would be brother to balon's father...

Once removed, twice removed, even thrice removed; one thing's for certain, and that is you can never quire get rid of them completely.

Thanks, Fist! In my nearly 48 years on this earth I have never quite gotten the hang of that and have always been too lazy to look it up.
