"'Against All Things Ending' now exists"

Stephen R Donaldson, on his website, wrote:"Against All Things Ending" now exists. I have the whole book on paper for the first time. Sadly, I'm behind schedule. I'll try to make up lost time during the revisions. But the airlines always say the same thing, and we all know how THAT turns out. (sigh)

For those who are interested: this first draft is 1179 pages. At the same stage, "The Runes of the Earth" was 1052 pages; "Fatal Revenant," 1209. As with previous books, I'll do one complete revision before I show the book to my editors. After I get their comments, I'll do a second complete revision. When that's done, we can all hope for D&A. D&A will enable my publishers to decide when they'll release the book.

Time has really flown (for me, anyway). It feels like FR was published only yesterday. I hope SRD isn't too far behind schedule. We're only about a year and a half away from AATE's release, assuming it follows the same schedule as the previous two books. A lot of stuff's got to happen between now and 2010.

In that case, maybe Romeo could just send you the Cliff notes version of AATE and The Last Dark...

:P

That's certainly displaying more patience than the rest of us, Lyr. :P

Yes, well. . . patience is a virtue. :P

Actually, if you procrastinate long enough others might mistake you for being patient. ;)

I did finally buy ROTE (marked down in hardcover) and wanted to do a re-read of the entire 1st and 2nd Chrons before reading it. I stalled out somewhere in the second book and haven't gotten any further since 2006. :shifty:
