And yes, they're TCTC fans!

They sound kind of '70s, I think.

I think Geddy Lee needs to sue the lead singer...

For what, sounding vaguely like he did 30 years ago? I think any real Rush fan would say the Caamora singer sounds nothing like Geddy. First off, it sounds like a woman, and secondly, she has a foreign accent; I'm thinking Polish or Russian. Geddy is of Polish decent, but he speaks like the Canadian he is, and his singing is pretty accent free.

Maybe with SRD's permission, you could put music to some of his songs from the Chronicles.
Then you really could claim to be Donaldson influenced.
I like the song that is in the link. Sounds more 80's to me.

And Geddy needs to sue his annoying fans...

That's your rebuttal? Jeez, even Revan did better then that.....

Nah, I thought it was good.

What'd I tell you about thinking?

Not sure. Anyway, I know I'm no substitute for Revan, so unfortunately this thread will have to go along a normal course... Right, Caamora. Not bad. I suppose they have that "sounds like" factor too much for me, vocally and musically.

A normal course? Oh, you mean the full 18 holes.

*shoots anti-dAN antibiotics into this thread* We're losing it! Someone give me a scalpel, stat!

Anti-dAN antibiotics? That's a double-negative. If you plan on being a professional writer, I suggest you refrain from using double negatives. If, on hte other hand, you plan on being a professional golfer, I suggest you refrain from making double bogies.

Ah well, can't save every thread. I tried... You misspelled "the" but technicalities are technicalities. I'm better than most professional writers, by the way; more like a canonized writer waiting to be canonized.

Here, consider yourself cannonized.

Thanks for totally derailing this thread, dAn and foul...
Anyone else listen to this band?

Yes, but I don't know who. This thread might do better in Vespers, BTW.

Wasn't my intention to derail the thread, dromond--only joke that the singer did and
does sound Geddy Lee-ish to me. What happened from there I could only reply to in bemusement, but it
is nice to see there's bands out there besides Marillion nicking fantasy books of names...

If you knew me, dAN, you'd see I was one of the humblest and nicest folks you'd meet. And my estimation of others writers, to me, is only natural when I am in their same field. We all have beliefs what music or literature is superior, and I do see writers who are similar to me (Le Guin, Dick, McCarthy), and I happen to think they are far better than most writers (not only in terms of technical skill but in making their depth digestible). Anyway, I digress; the point is my opinion only holds value to me; always has, so I am very humble indeed.
