SRD.com ... possible downtime

I'm upgrading my hosting account to a dedicated server to help increase reliability (some of the other users on the shared server occassionally cause disruptions - and other problems that affect some other domains that I host). I don't know how smoothly the transition will go as they move the files, but you shouldn't panic if SRD.com is unavailable for a short time. The biggest delay should be about a day or two as new DNS entries are updated around the world.

Just wondering: I still can't access the
www.stephendonaldson.com (so the one without the "R"). If I access stephenRdonaldson it works and has been for quite some time. Comes up with a site forbidden page.
Am I the only one having probs with this?

I'm having the same problems - is the 'R' one the official site now?

Yes, apparently, here is the current address:

there was always two sites. The one with the R and the one without.
Is there only going to be one now, Romeo?

Never knew there was another except for the Great Britain rendering of his name...Steven Donaldson.

Really? Huh... I only remember it with the "r"... strange world

I've always used the one without the R but it hasn't been working since Romeo started tinkering.
And you can go to
www.fatalrevenant.com and get bounced to the R site
and I know all this because...well...I think I must have been bored one night...or something...

FEI (that being "for everyone's information" as opposed to FYI): the
www.stephendonaldson.com site is up and running again.

I didn't click all the links, but everything I tried seemed to be working.

Sorry guys - the domain name with the R in it needs repointing (I recently moved everyghing to a dedicated server). We had to do this a few weeks ago for the domain with the R and noted that the R had the old DNS entries as well. But we figure "if it works, don't touch it." So now at least we know that the problem is and as soon as we get the DNS entries updated (and they propogate around the world) it should work.
In the meantime, you can access the site via:
www.StephenDonaldson.com
AND ... I've fixed the various Flash publications on the site (the FR announcement on the main page and the two trailers which are still available on the Background/Publications/Last Chronicles page). If you don't see them, clear your cache and reload the page.
If anyone ever notices any other problems, feel free to PM me immediately. Even if you're not sure if it's the site or your computer.

When might we see a trailer for AATE?

I have notes made for two ideas. Gotta find them, though (scribbled down on the back of the drafts somewhere as I read them), and then toss them by Steve to see what he thinks.
StephenRDonaldson.com should be back up soon. The DNS entries have been changed and I'm already seeing the site on my end, but it may take a day or two to get around the world.

Whew. I'm glad you said you didn't scribble your notes down on toilet paper or something. But then, you never know when inspiration may strike.
