Notables that won't fit cause the polls limit options to eight:
-Wyrms
-Hart's Hope
-Worthing Saga
-Pastwatch
"And here we...go."

I think Ender's Game is pretty good and while I don't really like the next three books in the series, I think they have enough interesting ideas to be alright.
I thought memories of earth was horrible and the bean series is kind of annoying.

Card can engage the reader and develop characters well. But more often than not he leads you nowhere with this talent. Ender's Game is an exception, and perhaps Speaker of the Dead as well. So I voted for the series, which is kinda inaccurate.
Oh, I thought Treason was really good, too.

I like the Ender and Bean series...and the Alvin Maker series too...(Only read the 1st 3 so far though.)

Care to compare to SRD? Wouldn't the lack of direction in the 2nd Chrons - Cov's, "I'm going to the Clave, then I've gotta head east and somehow get to the OT so I can make a new SoL and then come back and go to Mt. Thunder and beat Foul, again."" constitute the same thing?

I can's answer that question, jRsT: I don't find the Chronicles unfulfilling. (Nor do I think direction comes from a map.)
I understand that you do. (And that you relish telling us so.)

??? I don't understand what you mean? What I mean is that there's little plot to drive the story...just these simple directional decisions Cov makes. One of the primary things SRD is great at is character development through decision making, and when you have characters that can't affect the plot, then they don't get developed as much because they can't make as much of a difference, and this is SRD's genius in having Cov not wanting to be the hero in the 1st Chrons which allowed M, FF, B and others to be heroic and affect and even decide the plot movement. It's not the map, it's the simplicity of the overall plot in the 2nd Chrons that gets to me, it never changes, it's predictable...but I'd still take the 2nd Chrons over most any other!
