This book is starting to become quite a phenomenon and could soon be turned into a movie. It's about a man who spends a weekend talking to God. Outrageous or as intriguing as it seems it, actually, has a griping plot and does and admirable job of exploring the human condition. I think Furls would enjoy it-it's also centered in a very beautiful location near the Snake River in Oregon, her stomping grounds.

On one hand it sounds a little whitebread and hokey-using the standard Christian mythos, but it absolutely stands it on it's head making you look at them in a totally different way. It didn't work to change me as books like The Peaceful Warrior, The Four Agreements and A New Earth did-but it did effect me, and I think everyone should attempt to plow through this book (it's a fast read) whether you're a Zen Buddhist, Xtian, atheist or whatever...
