I'm not convinced it can be done to the extent of the Anime. The budget will have to be massive. Who could play Kaneda, Tetsuo, or the Colonel?

After LOTR...anythings possible. I voted Tetsuoo, assuming it meant hell yah or something of that nature.

Honestly, Akira is one anime that can really use some westernizing. The narrative is really loopy and meandering, which makes the already difficult story pretty hard to comprehend. Are they re-interpreting the source manga, or drawing strictly from the movie?
