I love your stats! :D

Thanks MM :D

...and I'm glad to see I didn't get on any list (that way I can kid myself into believing I don't spend heaps of time here! ;))

Glad this stuff amuses you, Sea. :)

Actually, you would have been #13 on the All Time Top Posters list if I had expanded it to the top twenty. ;)

So I'm sorry to dash your hopes, Sea, but you do appear to spend a disturbing amount of time here. :P (Yes, this from a guy who spends his own time compiling useless numbers.)

egads...

Here I thought I spent more time in the sub-forums I host (The Galley and the JK Rowling forums) than Gen Disc. I'm almost afraid to see, between our various identities, who spends more time in Gravin Threndor, Fist or me...

Haha, I haven't been properly active here for several years, and still I have 2nd place on topics started. That's ridiculous. Why did I start so many threads?

I'm guessing that it is total posts in the "General Discussion" section, not total of ALL posts in the entire forum. But I'm a 'newbie' too, so you may need to confirm with a 'professional' :)

right on the mark. the above is only for Gen Disc stats.

for instance, sarge posts a lot in Mallory's, Hall of Gifts, Vespers, and Comics and Cartoons, which add to his total. Av posts a lot in the 'tank. so total member posts is different than what is compiled here.

"Av posts a lot in the Tank" may be an understatement.

I'm dismayed to be on this list at all. Clearly I have no life. 8O

Thanks for the stats, MM!

I for one cannot fathom why anyone would be so foolish as to publish those stats in a public place. Now Null knows what he has to do to be #1 in all categories. Get ready for a steady diet of spam over the next few months!

Special Commentary: The Threadblazers

As I was gathering the numbers for the "Most Topics Authored" list, I noticed that certain members stood out not just for the amount of threads they created, but also for their pace at thread creation.

FizbansTalking_Hat: Those of you who recall Fizbans may also remember that he had a knack for generating topics. He was a comet that burned briefly but brightly at KW. Between May 6th/2004 and December 12th/2005, Fizbans authored an astounding 46 threads. That's 32.2% or nearly one-third of all topics created in Gen Disc in that 19-month period.

Menolly: Using Fiz's numbers as the reference markers, I found that Menolly also authored 46 threads in a 19-month period, from January 9th/2007 to August 13/2008. In fact, she achieved the mark in slightly fewer days than Fiz. However, Menolly's threads accounted for "only" 22% of all Gen Disc topics created in that time.

Lord Foul: When it comes to threads, if Fiz was a comet, then Lord Foul is a machine. For longevity and consistency in thread creation, LF operates on a different level from the rest of us. Between November 11th/2004 and May 19/2005, LF achieved his 46-thread mark. That's a mere 5 months and a week. He makes Menolly and Fiz look like slowpokes. However, Fiz's thread percentage (32.2) is still highest, although LF came close at 30.7%.

I was shocked myself that Sarge got outposted in Gen Disc. But kudos (or sympathies?) to Lyr for being an even more hopeless KW addict than Sarge is.

As for Sarge and spam, that's nothing new. If there's a problem, that's what the Mods are for. :P
