I spent the weekend at my parent's estate, so was unable to update the game. I will do so tonight while I am writing a very important report.

Oh the irony:
You write Japanese haiku
Don't speak the language.

Oh, my apologies - in igirisu: Excuse me, I understand none of that.

My humble protestation, Goatkiller, haiku is only written in Japanese.

Nishi-san,

Technically, that is true. And yet we gaijin frequently pretend that we can create haiku in English anyway. What amused me was simply that one of us who so abused a Japanese artform was completely unable to understand Japanese words afterwards. (Myself included, though I didn't comment on it at the time. I don't mean to single out the Dread Poet as the only perpetrator of atrocities upon Japanese art.)

Dread Poet, out of curiosity, can you confirm your nationality? I'm trying to confirm if this is a uniquely America trait, or is it shared with other English-speaking countries.

Sorry for being slack Lore - RL is chaos right now. I have a new computer though, so I should post later tonight.

Ah, no need to be bothered by my artistic traditionalism.

So, I know that Lore mentioned he'd be away for a little bit, with some personal stuff. Has anyone heard from him, or confirmed he's doing okay (all things considered)?

[more meant as a public sign that we're thinking of him than any kind of "hurry up and update the game"]

My apologies for not updating the game. I expect things to resume as normal by the end of the week.

Hi all,
Things have improved markedly. Well, one thing. A major stressor is over now, so I am much more relaxed. This means the game will be underway. However, I note that two players have not posted as much. If it's possible could they post soon so I can move on with the game?

Hey, welcome back. Glad things are improved.

For what it's worth, the player who plays Maddoc has dropped of the face of the Earth. He hasn't posted to Darkwood since late October. (Hope he also is okay...)
