When I was 15 the theater instructor at my boarding school us showed this little known noir film in our tiny gym called The Twelve Chairs-to this day it's one of the funniest and remarkable movies I've ever seen. I thought it was a foriegn film. That was in '71 before Mel Brooks became well known. Dom DeLuise's Father Fyodor was frikin' hilarious and I've loved him ever since, especially on the Dean Martin Show. RIP Dom, thanks for the laughs (I actually, believed the rumors that he had died sometime after filming The End :screwy: ) I'm ordering The 12 Chairs from NetFlix right now, if they have it.)

Given his weight and age I was somewhat surprised to read that it was cancer as opposed to something lifestyle related (and I certainly don't mean that to be insulting.)

Dom always made me laugh. In addition, he always seemed that he was really enjoying what he was doing. A warm funny soul from an era in which you didn't need to (metaphorically) grab your crotch to be funny. RIP.
