The Boat that Rocked

This movie seems to have divided the critics - some say it's Richard Curtis' weakest to date.
It's basically a film about pirate radio in 60s UK. Has a lot of recognisable British actors, and Phillip Hoffmann, who is exceptional in it IMO.
I saw it on the weekend and thought it was hugely entertaining. Has anyone seen it? What did you think?
I'm certainly not a big movie-goer, so that may contribute to my enjoyment (just getting out....), but I found it fun, slightly unbelievable (but who cares), great music, great characters.
