IS THERE ENOUGH SUPPORT FOR ANOTHER ANTHOLOGY?

Guys,

I haven't had much time for this topic lately but I thought I'd check with the current population of the Watch and see if we have enough support for another short fiction Anthology. Maybe it's been enough time since the last one that we are ready for another.

If through this call to arms we find:

7 or more authors willing to submit (you can count me in at least)
3 to 4 submission reviewers
and 1 dedicated editor

We will move forward on another book, perhaps exceed what we've done in the past.

Post here to let me know how you feel.

Thanks,

aTOMiC

I need a reason to write something. This might be it, so count me in for a submission.

We still have a few submissions from last year, too. Not many, though.

I'm posting one of my submissions on the Hall of Gifts, but I've got much more, so I'm always there to chip in.

KW Anthology 4 Contributor's Guide

That's the FAQ for the current edition.
Obviously, the deadline has been changed.

And here are the previous three anthologies.

Hasn't there always been a rule against fanfic in the Anthologies?

I really want to submit, but every time I plan to write something I become too critical of it. I have lost my confidence in my writing ability.

CJ - Thats true. Due to copyright infringement issues we have a standing ban on including fanfiction in the Anthologies. I'm sure everyone can understand why.

LM - Your work is terrific. Nuff said.

Lore, stop being ridiculous and send something in!

dAN, my submission from last year still stands. Unless y'all were going to reject it, in which case I can write something else...

Because there were so few submissions last year, I decided not to review any. I didn't want to end up reviewing some stories for the first time, and others for the second time. That being said, I'll probably reject Lord Foul's submission without even reading it just because it'd make me feel good, knowing I rejected Despite.

I'm truly hoping Dan Pigeon submits something this year; and not under that ridiculous pen-name he co-wrote Flower of Doom with Tom with, either.

It's beginning to look as if we might just have enough interest to move forward. I'd like to see a few more watchers check in though.

Well I guess there goes the comet's tail that SRD talks about. I'm in.
I've wanted to finish a short story for an age.

Why reject the best, most quotable character from the Chronicles? Silly lion! My stories are so awesome, anyway, that they only grow stronger every time they are struck down (or rejected, in this case). They'll find a way onto the pages, even if it's by osmossis.

I might be able to dust something off and tweak it. So, I'm a tentative in. :)

I was thrilled to have The Creed accepted into the first Anthology. :D

I'll say one thing for your stories, Foul. They're cheaper than valium. Hell, even this reply of yours had me nodding off.......and I think Covenant was way more quotable than you were. I mean, come on; 'Groveler this' and 'Groveler that'; you need new material!
