Ooo...

Is that thunder echoing out of the hallowed halls of Valaskjálf?

Fist and Faith wrote:OK, so we all have equal growth. An interesting alternative, for sure. Still, am I understanding right? We each get 1 PP each turn; we each get an extra 2 for Turn 1; and we can save any PP we get as long as we want?
Correct. :)

but try to stay away from things that move Plot. Save those for PPs.

Above all, remember this is your story! Have fun with it!

Together the Public/Private Turn submissions and spending Plot Points (in the submissions) is how you realize your goals for the Plot.
What is the Plot? That's each up to you, and to a lesser degree, me. I have a few ideas for my own plans, but what you want with the game is how you play.
hmm...
Having played games with different approaches, I best ask for clarification.

Are things written in The Valley Floor/game thread "official?" Or if anything happens there, must they be mentioned in either the public or private submission to have actually happened?

In term of setting precedence for the world (writing that there is: a sea, there are tribes, trees, at least one village, etc...), all are fine on the Floor. Anything that moves your Plot along can be talked about on the Floor, but MUST be in the Private Submission, and spent with PP's.

*slowly nodding*

So, say as a water elemental, the ability to change shape and mass is fundamental to the character, as established in their introduction. That can be done at will in the game thread, yes?
But if she/they actually do something that affects the story, PPs then need to be spent?

Whereas if any of the other characters so far (except perhaps, Shalaylie and The Plague) decide to change shape, PPs would need to be spent on that due to their being more defined by physical boundaries, yes?

I think I'll let the first two or three turns go by without asking for any CHs. It's entirely possible that nothing that could be considered worthy of being called a CH will happen any time soon. So don't worry, I won't be on your back just yet. :D

Okay, I'm a little confused about the submissions (I know I'm late). Do I post it in the submissions thread? Or do I do it privately? Also, I'm not really sure what it is I'm supposed to submit. :Help:

We are doing two submissions each turn.

One is private. You email it to: scarkeeper(at) gmail (dot) com. This is what you are actually doing each turn. Particularly with your PPs. How are you using your power? And what non-powered things will you do?

The other is public, and is posted in that thread. This can be exactly the same as the private submission. That is, if you have no secrets at all, and want everyone to know what you're doing.

OTOH, it can be a pack of lies. You may want to mislead everyone entirely, and, so, post that you're doing things that you're not. Have everyone chasing red herrings, or simply make them expect things other than what you are hoping to accomplish.

OTTH, it can be largely unrelated to the private submission. It can just be story-telling. It can be a way to delve into your character's culture, personal history, or anything else, without having anything to do with the private submission.

Or other options. heh

There are new creatures yet to see or be seen in the Valley.
