How would Lord Kevin go about applying for rental property?

Ok Kevin Landwaster could probably go about getting first and last together easily enough (us Aussies know that as Bond and a month's rent), but other than that, he wouldn't be a terribly good prospect if you were a real estate agent renting out a flat or apartment.
His references would be stuffed. Who would say on his behalf "yeah, he'll be fine, he looks after his home wherever he is".
So, how could we tidy up his application?
He wouldn't have any pets with him, or children, so that's a start.
He certainly would have enough dosh to pay for his rent, no worries there.
Noise at night? Parties? I think he'd be a bit introverted at this stage.
Is there any chance that he could fool an agent into believing that the Land "was like that when he got there", Or that he "reported faults but no-one ever came around to look at them"?
He could push a line of being older now, more mature, past is past and he's turned over a new leaf. He'd want to let that forehead wound clear up before turning up for an interview, as it might look like he's a bit of wild boy.
Can anyone else think of some ideas to help him out? I mean, surely he's learnt his lesson, he must deserve some compassion by now.
