I'm left wondering about it. He always talks about how he loves coffee, and how certain people don't make it well... but, seriously, what's their to it except pushing a button?

Even without the sci-fi food-vend, all you do today is measure out the coffee, put hot water in the machine, and wait for it to drip.

Brewing coffee is an *art*. I use bottled spring water, freshly-ground beans, and a French press.

I suspect Vector kept a hidden stash of beans or vacuum-sealed grounds somewhere in engineering.

Lots of down-time in laboratory settings gave him time to perfect his coffee.
