The 50 greatest WWII movies
Nice to see Escape to Victory and Kelly's Heroes. I'm really pleased with the respect that The Big Red One is finally getting.

I agree with some of the list - Das Boot being at number 3 is deserved. However, adding the Keep to the list is a complete joke.

Is it just me, or was Longest Day not on the list?

Delighted to see The Cranes Are Flying was on the list.

Interesting Orlion, that's a huge omission.

As is The Guns of Naverone.

"The Thin Red Line" is #2? What a f'in joke.

Saving Private Ryan should be much higher. While I love films like "Casablanca" and "Schindler's List," I do not classify them as WWII movies for the simple reason as there are no battle scenes. Thus, they're not truly war movies IMO, and don't belong on this list.

I can't believe "The Longest Day" and "Tora! Tora! Tora!" or "Midway" didn't make this list.

I agree with Cail that Big Red has been under appreciated for too long. I'm curious to see the updated version with the 47 minutes added, I'll have to look for it.

I've added several unseen films to my Blockbuster queue, including the #1 pick "Come and see."

Oh yeah, I completely forgot Midway and Tora! Tora! Tora!. Both are excellent. I'm not a TRL hater, though I can see how people could be one. I certainly don't think it deserves the #2 spot.

And the restored version of TBRO is nothing short of amazing.

Iwo Jima should be higher
