On of the most influential people in music, ever.
He won't get 5% of the coverage that pedophile got (and continues to get).
Godspeed Les.

The news is crediting him with inventing the solid body electric guitar, which is totally not true, but nonetheless this is a sad loss. RIP Les.

not really a loss when you think about it. (except perhaps to his family & friends)
i mean, will he be forgotten in antiquity? prolly not.
thus, is he dead? not really.
only the mortal vehicle he was riding around in.
go look at a van gogh or a monet or a parrish,
go stand in the Sistine Chapel and look up,
put on Houses of the Holy.
is john bonham dead? michealangelo? les paul?
i don't think so.

I'm pretty sure the coroner didn't mess up. They're all dead, except for Michealangelo, who will be dead one day, depending on the lifespan of a mutated turtle.

nope. coroner didn't make a mistake. those vehicles they were ridin around in are definitely dead. but dAN, those are just bodies. hunks of meat we're ridin around in.
i don't consider them dead because while they were ridin around in their earthly bodies they created immortal work that survives, indeed trancends their mortal time spent on the planet. ergo, no loss.
