I haven't started a martial arts flick thread in a while. And some might say this thread doesn't change that. But I don't care what any of you say!!! I just love this movie!!! As Sho'nuff, the Shogun of Harlem, Julius J. Carry III could have carried the movie by himself! It just doesn't get any better than this!!

Angela Viracco and Eddie Arkadian were also superb. Johnny Yu is lots of fun. Especially since this was more than twenty years ago.

And yeah, there's some martial arts. The choreography is better than a lot of movies I've seen, and there's no wires. And Taimak does a good job as the misplaced monk.

Aw man.

And here I thought you had some news regarding a movie about Kalessin/Segoy... ;)

They're doing a remake...original must have done something right.

I had no idea! 8O I think I'm opposed to remakes in general, even though a few turn out ok. But Samuel Jackson as Sho'nuff? Way too old. He'd work better if it was a sequel. Oh well, gotta wait and see.

Yeah...he's the most recognizable 'sides Denzel out there, but he's too old.
