About to begin Gardens of the Moon
Have just received my copy of GOTM in the post today. Did not realize that SRD endorses this volume. Just have to work my way through the Dramatis Personae first

Yo hue, I started GotM again today. Figured a new reader was a good time to reread the whole series. So if you have questions as you're going, it'll be real fresh in my mind.
No, nobody get the wrong idea. I'm not suggesting, or willing to participate in, a dissection. But I'll try to keep up with hue.

Thanks Onos. I have a rather fast rate of reading, which often leads to me glossing over the fine details within books. With GOTM I am holding myself right back. At the moment I have read the prologue twice and am now starting on Chapter 1.
I had to pop into town today for my signing on time and managed to pick up a copy of Night Of Knives

Read GotM 4 or 5 months ago and have just completed book 7, Reaper's Gale. One more and I'll be caught up and current.
I'm a pretty fast reader too, but these books need to be savored and attention paid to the fine details.
Hold off on reading Night of Knives until you're at least four or five books into the main series.
Have fun. I sure did!
PS. Can't wait to see your digital renderings of some of these characters.

Well, you'll probably be overtaking 'ol Onos rapidly in that case. But I'm gonna be rereading soon too, starting with Night of Knives, just as soon as I finish up Bakker's Prince of Nothing series, (endorsed by Erikson ).hue of bone wrote:Thanks Onos. Personally, I enjoyed GotM a lot more after I'd read some of the other books.

Yeah, me too. Although I really liked it the first time, too.Avatar wrote:Personally, I enjoyed GotM a lot more after I'd read some of the other books.

Have you figured out what's going on yet? I was almost totally lost for about the first 100 pages or so.
