To be honest, hue of bone, your depictions of other characters from the books had not squared with how I saw them in my mind's eye...but with Shetra and Verement you've hit one (make that two) out of the ball park. Assuming there are ball parks in the Land.

Outstanding work!

For Shetra and Verement, dour expressions are much more in character. They probably had moments of joy and mirth, but that is not the way we see them in The Illearth War and in Gildenfire.

That is one of the problems with Shetra and Verement; how do you convey both the bitterness that has come between them from Shetra being chosen by the Ranyhyn and their very close and passionate relationship.

You seem to be working your way through the Illearth War right now.

It is how the fancy takes me. Must admit LFB seems to be the hardest one to find inspiration, whereas with the 2nd chronicles I can do characters a lot easier. :D

Poor Amatin looks rather depressed. I'd always pictured her as more the "deep in thought" sort--with maybe an inksmudge somewhere and a quill in her hand perhaps, from all that studying. Still, it's neat to get a glimpse of her. IMHO she was pretty awesome.

Yes. My first thought was that this was Lord Loerya, a mother worried about her children. If you slapped her name on the picture, and attempted something different for Amatin, you would not be far wrong.

I imagine Amatin as a grown up flower child. Probably because she loves the trees of Revelwood so much.

Haha, that's an interesting image. IIRC, she *is* either Woodhelvinnen or better part Woodhelvinnen by heritage--hence she got stuck keeping the communication rod at the beginning of TPTP, poor girl. "Flower Child" seems to me slightly too absent-minded a mental image for her. She could be very incisive when she knew she was acting from her strengths (see: questioning of Amok).
