Just saw this show last night.....whew ... what an absolutely amazing experience. I love Cirque and have 3 of their shows on dvd. Seeing them in person with the family (front row center) was an experience I shall remember forever. I am still speechless... Visually astounding. And LOADS of entertainment and wonder.



Now, in addition to wishing I was an actor or peinter, I now wish I had enought talent to run away and join Cirque!

I've never seen it, but my ladyfriends marching band did a show based around cirque du Soleil. It was called quidam (sp?), dunno if that was a show or not, but the music blew me away. I would love to see it.

how much were the tickets for front row? (if you dont mind me asking)

I've only seen one Cirque show live ("O") but it was unbelievable! I've seen a few other shows on video here and there, but nothing beats seeing it live.

I can't even remember the name of the show I saw, in the royal albert hall in london about ten years ago, but it was AMAZING!

I'll never forget, there was an 'X' of trampoline at ground level, and streams of acrobats tumbling down each strand, just missing each other. It was amazing.

Some friends just got back from Vags, where they saw them do some sort of Beatles show, they said it was unbelievably brilliant!

Last November when I went to Vegas to get married, the wife and I saw the Beatles show (it's called Love). I'd only seen Cirque on television, and always thought it was amazing. I have to say that I was not as impressed as I thought I'd be. It was fun, but I do have to admit that it was past my bedtime and we were both exhausted from walking all day. The wife felt the same way.
It just seemed as though it could have been so much more - it started with something of a story feel, but it never went anywhere and it was just a bunch of set pieces in the end. I really think it could have been more amazing if they had actually cobbled it together to something coherent or gone the other direction of not actually setting up anything. There was sure some pretty though.
Overall, I still prefer the Blue Man Group for that kind of high dollar performance art thingy. MUCH more my style.

Well, here at the Toronto show our tickets were $148.00 CAD each.

And Stonemaybe, it sounds like you saw "Alegria". I love that bit too!

I've seen delirium and mystere. It's always an amazing experience. The music can be extremely moving. The owner of the circus is in space right now. It cost him 35 million to go.

Yup, and on blast-off, he wore a big red clown nose. Gotta love a guy who wears a clown nose into space.
