P.S. - My wife came up with 'Napkin Manifesto' this past weekend, but I think it sounds more like an album than a band name.

Oh if only we had had the ABC Creative Band Names to assist us back in the day.

Sorry. Your guess is wrong. The Cockpit days were some of my favorites. We hung onto that for a couple of years I think before changing to the next one.

Because even though y'all are maniacs, I assume it has been overused by others...

Voting for one I like is hard, since I have been to a Clear Frontier gig. That tends to weigh heavily in favor of that name. I'm trying to evaluate them all with an open mind though.

Nope, maniacs was the first name, back when mark Frierson led the band.

Far be it from me to correct the Lion, though that was indeed the first name the band was actually led by Thomas Niedhardt. Mark came along shortly thereafter. Not that anyone really cares.

I voted for Clear Frontier. It's such a good name, you guys must have used it before. Probably for some sort of "spiritual seekers from Florida forage a pathway to the Heavenly Gates with hard-edged guitar funk and a halo-rattling vibrato" type of thing.

Hand over Fist is the name never used. Because, the more you think about it, the more it sounds like a euphamism for a sex act.

Frankly I always thought Cockpit was more sexually charged than any other name we used.

I like Clear Frontier best. It suggests expansiveness, unlimited potential (like Big Country).

I'll say Superconductor was the one you never used.
