I have just started to play WoW again after a long hiatus. I created a Blood Elf Hunter called Birinair and his pet lion type creature Tohrm.

Then I wondered how many of the WOW Watchers have immortalized their characters with SRD character names.

I have a warlock named Kaseryn.

zero.

all my toons but my main have Malazan names:

Sorrie - night elf rogue

Hetan - draenai warrior

Silanah - draenai death knight

Lostara Yil - draenai paladin

Yan Tovis - draenai shaman

Tehol Beddict - level 1 bank alt (human priest) - guild name Letherii National Bank

Dunsparrow - human warlock

In Everquest, I had an enchanter named Akassri Na'Mhoram. In Horizons, I made a monk named Bannor.

I've tried to make a 'Mhoram' a few times, but it always gets rejected

I always agonize over character names. They require a lot of thought if you really care about your creation. Heck, I agonize over my forum usernames. Really haven't decided how I would name my WoW character. Er, not that I'm playing the game yet...

I was wondering if we'd scared you off or something.

Yeah, it's hard to pick names. Especially when you're competing with thousands of other people for the name and spelling you want.

All of my names except one are sci-fi/fantasy references, but Sorus is the only SRD.

Well, seeing as how SRD isn't exactly winning popularity contests with the reading public these days, I should be safe with a TC name.

Or maybe a name from Mordant's Need...
