I only tuned into this show last week out of curiosity. It has immediately become a favorite. Simply the most entertaining, sometimes laugh-out-loud funny, show about food I've ever come across. Tonight's episode was "Food Porn."

I searched for any previous threads about Bourdain here, but only found a few posts mentioning him in the Jamie Oliver thread. Lyr doesn't like Bourdain because he's a "prick." If so, he's at least a very entertaining prick. Menolly similarly dislikes his demeanor. Well, I like that Bourdain speaks his mind, even if that means he comes across as offensive to some. If he were just obnoxious for the sake of being obnoxious, I'd have a problem. But I see him as someone who just cuts the bs to get to good food. Bourdain's enthusiasm for a good meal is obvious and infectious - I don't think I've watched a show that made me feel so hungry - and deprived - afterwards. For me, this is better than any locked-in-a-studio cooking show.

So, anyone else seen this show and like it? Hate it?

It's a good show. But I personally cannot get over the man's resemblance to Tom Bergeron; I keep expecting him to introduce a montage of groin-whacking videos.

Haven't seen the show much. His book "Kitchen Confidential" was excellent though. A very cool look at the workings of the restaurant biz and a bunch of crazy stories from Bourdain's life.
