Hope you had a good one Stone! The English may have been a bit pissed off about the goalie's stuff up, but I didn't actually watch the 2nd half, so don't know who deserved the win...

I think Argentina looked great initially and then probably just sat back - it's hard to tell what they'll be like, but Messi is a master!

The Germans looked good tonight, but the Aussies were unlucky to have a man sent off - don 't think it would have made a difference to the result though.

Ghana team looks powerful.

Yeah the Germans dominated Australia. Cahill was unlucky to be given a straight red. It's going to be tough for the Aussies now. I think Ghana and Germany will get through that group.

Well done to the Kiwis, who picked up their first ever world cup finals point today, thanks to a last gasp equaliser.
Pity it stuffed my betting coupon

 I know a few people who thought they got good odds on a 'New Zealand to lose every match' bet!

North Korea looked more impressive that Portugal or Ivory Coast today. Shame that probably won't matter!

I literally jumped for joy when the kiwi's got the equaliser! The Slovaks were boring as batshit!

Did you see the Italian dive?

Here you go  www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iufnlu5842w&feature=popt00au08

Actually, I didn't watch the game, so I assume it happened

Just saw the most exciting game, and biggest upset of the cup so far!! World Cup favourites Spain just have been upset 1-0 to Switzerland.

The Spanish dominated but couldn't put it in the back of the net - Iniesta was a bit below par I thought, Torres came on and looked a little rusty. The Swiss were organised and determined. Good on them!

I missed that one, stuck in work. I did manage to catch yesterday the last 20 minutes or so of the performance of the Dear Leader's team. They don't look to be a push over.

Nice one for the Kiwi's and Switzerland. We got thrashed by Uruguay last night...very small hope now of getting through the group stage.

Argentina looked formidable in the best game of the tournament so far. 4-1 against South Korea.

There's been talk about the best players in the world - I think Messi is an infinitely more valuable player than Ronaldo.

Absolutely! Serbia 1, Germany 0. Another major upset!

As a neutral observer, I thought the USA v Slovenia game was very exciting. US showed amazing spirit to come back, and it should have been 3-2 at the end - I still have no idea why their last goal was disallowed.

ooooo!! 8O they must've rallied after i left the Doubleplay to go to work yesterday morning! good on them!!

i stop at this bar and grill every morning to get my coffee on the way to work (and sometimes some flapjacks!) so i've been following the WC a bit.

watched most of the first half of the usa / slovenia game and had to go to work just at half time. at that point it was 2 / nil slovenia.

i don't know much about the soccer but i have to say its been great fun watching some of these games. it so TIDY to watch. unlike an NFL game you can actually SEE whats going on on the field!
plus soccer guys are CUTE!!

Father in law (who lives in Cape town) has got me a vuvuzela, I'll get it in October when we're over there.

Also got an app for my iPod touch which sounds like one.

One of our Scottish ministers has called for them to be banned at Scottish football grounds - miserable git.

I let out a big cheer when the Kiwis nearly put one in the goal late against Italy.

Ill tempered end of game between Brazil and Ivory Coast today. Kaka got framed today.

What an upset that would have been - the Kiwi's were ecstatic with a draw, but could have snatched it.

Just saw the most amazing performance so far: Portugal 7, North Korea 0 8O 8O 8O 8O 8O

A shame that the hosts went out today after beating France 2-1.

Adios to Greece and Nigeria too. Nigeria can count themselves unlucky, after all the chances they missed. Greece were just negative in all their games.

Englands turn tomorrow - Come on Slovenia :bwave:

Yeah...sucks to go out on goal difference, but at least we had a good last game.
