"What do you want for Christmas?"
(I hesitate to start this thread since we're in a Recession and many probably want a job or a mortgage payment but maybe since we're all being frugal now a thread like this might be fun)
I want an Ipod.

A miracle for Furls Fire...

A job would be nice

, but I'm after a new TV, since my Freeview box died, my subscription-less Sky box is dying, and it'd be better to get a new TV with it built in than replace with more crappy set top boxes.

Ditto.
Also, jobs and good health for every Watcher.
And -- what the heck! -- world peace and an end to hunger.
For me: yarn. And for my mom's house to sell.

I know one thing I'm looking forward, though it's after Christmas. My last car payment is in mid-January. The first time in nearly twenty years I'll be without one.

I'd love a private registration plate for my car, but that's not gonna happen.
I'd love an iPhone, but that's not gonna happen.
I'd love a PS3, but that's not gonna happen.
Think I'll settle for a nice bottle of Scotch.

I think a good bottle of liquor is a damn nice gift. I'm known for passing them out, and I'm always pleased to receive them. Especially when they are good bourbon.

I already got The Beatles in Mono, so...heck...what else... Couple video games maybe. My grandfather's Camaro... And of course, a well Furls Fire!
For my grandfather I will get him Season 2 of Gomer Pyle...preferred show for all Vietnam vets everywhere!

I second Menolly's and Ali's thoughts. Also, relief from unemployment and financial stress for those of you experiencing it. Oh ... and waffles.

...Eggo's are not waffles...
Get a waffle maker, make your own, lay them in a single layer on a cookie sheet and freeze them. Then put them in a freezer bag to store.
Pop them into the toaster to reheat for a quick breakfast on a work/school day.

According to an article I read today--Due too weather conditions and other factors there will be a severe Eggos shortage until about July of next year.
I want a healthy Furls.
(and a new TV, our big 11 year old Zenith up two months ago...

)

Uh, danlo? Check the "crisis du jour" thread.
