SRD, on his site, just wrote:I have now sent in the latest (the final?) draft of "Against All Things Ending". This is the "delivery" part of D&A. The "acceptance" part is in the hands of my editors, and won't happen until January (or later?), what with xmas and all. However, I have no reason to expect requests for additional rewriting.

Not counting the "front matter" (table of contents, dedication, map, etc.), "What Has Gone Before," and the Glossary, AATE now stands at 1019 manuscript pages. At this same stage, "Fatal Revenant" was 1062, while "The Runes of the Earth" was 915.

Hooray! D&A happening earlier this time as compared to 2004 and 2007. I wonder if that means we'll see the book earlier also?

Now we gotta get serious about a possible E'fest 2010.

Depends on when the book comes out. If it's post-Labor Day, wouldn't E-fest 2011 be better for autograph purposes?

Not that I'm opposed to a 2010 E-fest, you understand...

I'm OK with waiting til 2011 - then we can ask SRD about AATE. Anyone interested in doing another, non-SRD associated get-together in 2010?

At the moment I'm ok with 2011...ok, I'm NOT ok with 2011...but 2010 is seeming more and more unrealistic monetarily for me.

:hithead: or  or something.

Don't worry, when I win the lottery, none of that will be an issue! :P

It's weird how this happened. I hadn't been to SRD's site in almost a month, I just had this feeling I had to check-and there was this announcement! (maybe it's the mile-high altitude, or living so close to SRD-did we have a High Lord mind-meld? :P :P :P )

I concur!

But, well, nothing's definite. We're really badly in debt at the moment (a lot of unexpected outlays recently including a new fence we didn't want right now but our neighbor is an absolute pain in the hole and wouldn't back down!).

It'll depend if I can get some work early next year through Mr Seareach's company. If I could get a couple of months work there then I'd be set. That or winning lotto, or finding myself a sugar-daddy that'll buy me a ticket.
