2010/2011 Kevin's Watch Awards (the Watchies)

So, many of those who play games here in Gravin Threndor do not visit other parts of the Watch. In fact, they joined the Watch specifically for the games, and may have no idea about the works of SRD or the other authors we discuss.

On the other hand, many of the players who did join the Watch solely for the games here in GT have gone beyond the forum's borders and do frequent other area of the Watch.

All well and good.

This year, the Watchies have six, count them, six(!) Gravin Threndor categories. We need you to come nominate and/or second in the various GT categories. You do not need to feel obligated to give any input in any other categories; you are the ones who will determine who is nominated for the GT specific awards.

There are a lot of categories in total this year (48!), and we need at least two seconded nominations in each category for them to proceed on to the ballots. But don't feel overwhelmed; feel free to weigh in only in those categories you are comfortable with.

So head on over to the Watchy Awards forum and start nominating and/or seconding.

The Gravin Threndor specific nominating categories are:
Best Gravin Threndor Prose or Story-arc
Best Gravin Threndor Deity
Best Gravin Threndor non-deity PC
Best Gravin Threndor non-player character
Best Gravin Threndor Game Master and
Best Gravin Threndor Game

*shakes head while giggling*

First, one can not nominate themself nor their own game.
Second, someone needs to post a nomination for you in the Watchy forum...

First, if you start with "one" you must follow with "oneself".
Second, Calvinball isn't actually a game. It never spawned it's own forum.

Third, I wasn't nominating myself. I was drumming up support for myself so that someone could, as you mention here, go nominate me in the correct forum. That's why I did it here instead of there, because this is the thread ABOUT nominations.

Oh, I don't know about that, buddy boy. Not all of them are like Suzy. Some of them can be quite enticing. Why don't you ask that one to come closer? I think she might be one of the better sort...

Tigers are not above playing to the Watchy mod!

She may be a Smelly Girl, but I trust her not to fudge the vote counts just because I'm being snarky.

Here is a reminder that nominations are still going on for the 2009 Watchies. Come nominate, or second a non-seconded nomination in many categories.

Nominations for the 2009 Watchies will close on Monday, February 8th, 2010 so the ballot can finish being compiled.

[bump]Watchies are now taking nominations for 2010/2011[/bump]

There are not as many categories for GT as in the past, so make those nominations and seconds count.

Did we miss them last year or something?

Kinda/sorta.

In any case, the official Watchies are combining two years this time around.

Well, Fist basically coronated a handful of winners of pseudo-Watchies for 2010, but there were No Official Watchies for that year.

Calvinball is probably not eligible this round, but there were plenty of other good games, GMs, PCs and NPCs that can be nominated.

Those who are brave enough to venture out of GT into the rest of the Watch might even find something there that deserves notice. ;)

It's not cowardice. There's just nothing out there that matters.

Outside of GT... Hobbes is just a stuffed animal. Why would anyone want to go there?
