Hopefully by now you have read the first chapter, either that or you don't mind spoiling your enjoyment of what looks like it's going to be easily the most awesome (book/entertainment) {both work for me} release of this year.
So now, if anything could be resolved in the book what would it be?
Personally I would give all my WGD to be able to read the debate between the High Lord's spirits in judgement of KLW. [On that note, SRD if you read this, let me know with irrefutable proof and you can have my WGD, sorry they aren't more.]

1) TC becomes Lord Foul...2) TC destroys the universe...3) LA & friends have to put it all back together again

It's simple what I want to see: Wild magic vs. Worm of the World's End. I figure anything less would be anti-climactic.
But how can that conflict happen without the Arch being destroyed? It will be interesting to see what SRD comes up with.
(I'm sure the Arch won't be destroyed, at least not yet. Otherwise, The Last Dark will be about a whole lot of empty space.)

Linden and TC in a ghostly form, go back in time to see Kevin's RoD. They view it as in prespective instead of being there. Due to the possible intervention of Linden Staff and she trying to stop it.

Or they go back in time to observe it and Linden accidentally causes Kevin to come up with the idea of the doing the RoD. Before that he was thinking of giving Lord Foul a wedgie.

the newly-resurrected TC goes back in time to 2004, breaks through the 4th wall and convinces SRD to spare his readers the pain of casting Linden Avery as the main pov character in the last chronicles ...

SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY
LIVE in the JEREMIAH ARENA! The FINAL CAGE match!
Thomas "Wild Magic" Covenant vs.
OUuuuuuuuuUUUUURO BOUUUROOOOOOS!
[and if the Arch is destroyed......]
The Final Chronicles.
Book 4
"The Last Dark"
CH. 1
"Well...it's black..you see..and you can't get any blacker than black...I mean, it's black."
Thus concludes the Last Chronicles of Thomas Covenant.
Seriously, I'd bet everything I have that TC will be sane...he's most of the way there even at the end of this teaser chapter...though the fragments and fractures will have a place, like LF's prophecies in assorted other books.
I don't think the confrontation with the worm [for TC and Linden] is going to happen that quick...it reads to me that while the worm is as awesomely powerful as most of us thought, it's not as awesomely HUGE...it's feasting will take a while [maybe it'll eat some of it's little babies while it's at it..the skurj and maybe the nicor]
I haven't decided yet if it is good, bad or irrelevant that the new staff of law, unlike the old one, is not made out of something that was rooted in the worm. I suspect it's a good thing...I mean, you CAN fight fire with fire, but that's usually not the best way, especially if you want to save things.

On the bright side, that book could be released immediately... no need to wait 3 years after AATE!

Good thing she's showing a lot of skin. I'm willing to forgive naked babes quite a bit.

Linden and Covenant listen to Anele and go to find the Lost Deep, where the deepest rock is or whatever the crazy guy told the Chosen to look for.
Linden wakes up in our world, stabilized in the hospital. Freaks out about how she needs to go back and save her son and resurrected lover.

I would like to see more detail into Kastenessen's story. Also what was the Durance? I have reason to believe that the Durance (which is defined in the Glossary of Runes as ("a cryptic barrier, apparently broken") was actually an Elohim who had been Appointed (for what I don't know).
In Runes as the party was approaching the Verge in the scene where Anele is on rubble talking but is prevented by Esmer he says:
"He commands. If Anele did not obey, he would whisper what this rock cries out. He would tell of the Appointed Durance, the skurj, the Elohim..."
I've seen nothing in the GI about it, nor on this forum. What's the story here?

Wasn't Kastenessen appointed by his folk the Elohim? Wasn't The Durance his Würd - to keep the skurj from burning the world?

Yes Kastenessen was Apointed (as punishment), he refused his appointment, and was forced into his appointment by other Elohim (including Findail). I'm saying since Kastenessen has been cast as one of the villains of the series, some more detailed back story (especially how he escaped his appointment) would be nice. I don't remember anything saying the Durance was Kastenessen's Wurd, but I may have missed that. I'm re-reading Runes now

All the Sandgorgons attempt to simultaneously communicate mentally and inadvertantly reconstitute samadhi Sheol who possesses the lot of them.
