HELP ME IDENTIFY A CHILDHOOD GAME...PLEASE!

Okay.
Ever since I discovered Ebay all those years ago I've been searching for a game I played with when I was a kid (1974ish). No matter what name I use for my search I've gotten jack and a little squat.
I thought perhaps if I describe this game someone might know it's proper name or the manufacture or something helpful.

The game is a baseball game though it really doesn't have much to do with baseball. It was made of wood about two 2 feet long and about 5 inches wide. There were two long thin rods attached at the top or the end away from the player. The rods were side by side running the down the middle of the game the entire length with grips at the far end where you would pull them apart, swinging them away from each other though they remained fixed and together at the top. A larger ball bearing or "pin ball" would sit on top of the rods at the far end and as you pulled the rods apart the ball would begin to roll toward you and would ultimately fall between the rods when you pulled them apart too far. Below the rods were circles cut into the wood that the pinball would fall into. The point of the game was to try to get the ball as far along the rods as you could so that it would fall in the farthest hole in the wood away from the beginning point. The first hole was a base hit, the second was second base, the third of course was third base and if you managed to get the ball all the way down the rods to the end you got a home run.

Ring any bellls anyone? No one I know has ever seen this game and I totally cannot find it on line anywhere.
What would I do if I found it? I'd probably try to buy it, play it a few times and then put it in the closet.

Thanks in advance if anyone can help me.

Tom

EDIT:

What a goof! I'm a computer draftsman for crying out loud I should have created the image below long ago. Maybe this will help.

TOM, I remember those, and I think Cracker Barrel sells them. I don't remember the name though...

*off to search*

OK, here's one version of what I think you're talking about, but not baseball themed:

Let me know if the concept is right.

*still searching*

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's the concept alright!

THANK YOU.

Edit:

I see the Shoot the Moon games are available in a number of places including Target. I'll probably pick one up but the inner collector in me would still like to find the actual game I remember.
In any case I'm pretty happy at the moment.

So far I've found it in the Shoot the Moon and a Hole-in-One golf version, but no baseball version... :(

Oh, you are welcome.
I knew instantly what you were talking about, but like you, had no idea what they were called.

She's like Garcia (the "Oracle of Quantico") on Criminal Minds

Doesn't get out in the field much, but she's always on the comp and will find whatever you need!

Ahh, I remember that game!

The golf version seems a little fancier:
