I nominate Dread Poet Jethro for this little Haiku in the Watch Awards Forum (making it a bit of a meta-nomination really :-)):
An untimely end
To Menolly's favorite game
Is most unwelcome

But she has others
In which to invest her time
Perhaps she'll survive...
Mod edit: ineligible for 2009 Watchies due to calendar year posted moved from Best Poem category to a holding place in the 2009 Spotlights ~m.

2010 Nomination suggestion to remember later - Best Newbie...Kalkin, he's been impressive jumping right in, all across the board. He's even posted in the Tank before he got to 20 posts, that's comfort :D

Menolly... Is this the correct place to do this, and you'll put it somewhere else later if need be? Or did I create a mess for you to clean up?

A very informative post about health options from the Tank! Probably so you know where to go once you've had your head bashed in there! :P

Spotlightting LF's Has anything touched you like TC? in the First and Second Chrons forum. I am enjoying not only reading of other series I may have never heard of and how they have affected the Watcher posting about them, but also reading from others as to why the chrons stand separate for them instead.

I know discussion as to possibly not including threads for nominations in future Watchies may be forthcoming, but I would like to offer this thread as an example for continuing to do so.

Nicely done, LF.

Spotlighting the debut (and perhaps only) post of madeofparts as a moving testimonial on the impact TCTC has had on his life:

Nomination seconded.

I inherited my books from my brother who passed in late 1995. I was depressed from his passing and read the First two Trilogies from that state of mind, so I totally relate to MadeOfParts' experience and think it was extremely well related in the post

Great insight, I hope MadeOfParts contributes more, with that opening post, I have hopes for future insightful angles that haven't been fleshed out yet

This is, perhaps, the best post of the last few years.

I would like to spotlight Dread Poet Jethros avatar for it's unique and awesome display of my mom's flame.

When evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love

For Mom--
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
for you are the wind beneath my wings.

Fly...fly high against the sky...
Thank you, thank you, thank God for you
The wind beneath my wings

I would like to spotlight my Avatar (I know it sounds Ostentatious, but, not for me). Not for me, but, for the Artist, BlackHawk. For 14 years, I've been carrying this charater Sindatur around (A Grey Owl Wizard) and I've used endless owl avatars through the years here and there on various sites, but, the Avatar BlackHawk made for me is absolutely perfect, it's what I've been looking for all these years, I couldn't find a better pic to encapsulate Sindatur. I am in Owl Heaven :D

Hahaha, it is cool. I meant to comment when I noticed you'd changed it. :D

Good job BlackHawk.
