Wonders of the Solar System

Saw this great new documentary on the BBC tonight. Hopefully this link will work outside UK.....

The presenter has a tad too much wide-eyed-wonder about him, but it was really interesting, using Saturn's rings to demonstrate how the solar system may have been formed.
Some great info on the rings themselves, and Saturn's moons. And 'gravitational resonance', which I'd never heard of before.
The bit about one of the moons (Enceladus?) at about 37 mins is great. ('ice fountains 100s of mile into space'
)

Well, I hit the links to the videos and I got the message, "Not available in your area." Oh well. I was half-expecting that anyway.
Just add that documentary to the list of things that make me wish I was on your side of the pond. The UK now has the best science and nature programs, in addition to having the best rock bands, the best cider and Wimbledon. Oh, and you've got Doctor Who. Also, SRD's books sell better over there.
(On the other hand, I'm no fan of the monarchy.)

Sure, but
my taxes are supporting that largely decorative institution. In fact, we spend more per capita to support the Queen than the Brits do. And that makes me royally ticked off.

OK, based on that, I did a little searching and came up with this on a site that had a bad link to a youtube video...
Also called "Hyperspace", this three hour BBC astronomy documentary, hosted by Sam Neill, consists of six self-contained topical programs, each one about 30 minutes in length: (1) Star Stuff, (2)Staying Alive, (3) Black Holes, (4) Are We Alone...?, (5) New Worlds, and (6) Boldly Go.
Based on that, I found
BBC - THE SUN: PART 1A (Star Stuff) by searching for Star Stuff on youtube. It looks like it may be the beginning of the series? If so, perhaps links to the next parts will present them selves as one watches through it.
I can't find full episodes of
Wonders of the Solar System yet though...
