Bring It On is a big favourite of mine, but the track Nothing is Wrong from Split the Difference is one of my favourite songs ever, one of the best indiepop songs ever written imo!

yeah I have most of their albums - from what I understand there was a bit of a divide there for a while with fans between the 'old stuff' (first 3 albums) and the 'new stuff' (everything else) - indeed I didnt purchase their last few albums til last year, and was generally happy with what I heard ...

I've also seen them live twice and they were great, they struck just the right balance between replicating the studio versions of the songs that I came to love in the first place and adding in different live flourishes and interpretations ..

of course they have 3 vocalists and songwriters in the group, I occasionally get Ian Ball and Tom Gray's voices mixed up, but all three create music very distinctively from each other
- Ben Ottewell tends to go for a classic rock sound, 60's and 70's US rock seems to be his bag generally - his voice is of course a tremendous instrument in this context ...

- Ian Ball's songs tend to be more experimental and progressive, in my eyes he does some of their most interesting stuff. But sometimes also some of their worst. Goes with the experimental territory I guess ...

- Tom Gray is probably the most underrated of the three in my opinion, generally he doesn't get as many songs on the albums as the other two guys, but he has some beautiful melodies and turns of phrase - his stuff is broadly 'Beatle-esque'

that the three styles can mesh together pretty well on most albums is a testament to the bands co-operative efforts ..

Nothing is Wrong is awesome. Belongs in Top 100 songs ever type lists.

Enjoyed the writeup on the different lead singers. I really know little about the band except for liking their music. Will have to read up on them more.

As does Whippin Piccadilly, and maybe Tijuana Lady.

Saw them live in Bristol last year, good gig, but the first time, lying in a field on a sunny day at Glastonbury, will always be how I think of them live.
