Details are limited to what you'll find at the link above. Columbus, OH is within driving distance for me, so I may try to go this year. Anyone interested in a KW get-together?

Yes! :) And I found this:

www.contextsf.org/WFC/

Registration is $125 through June 15th. The room rates at the convention hotel are $148/night. Of course, we could pick our own convention hotel. ;)

I think Romeo usually goes to WFC. And I think this is the con that Jenn went to last year in San Jose -- Jenn, are you going again this year?

Funny how he goes to this, even though he hates fantasy. ;)

by Dread Poet Jethro
He makes a living
Doing something that he hates...
He is not alone

So when Donaldson and Sweet are in the same room, do they glare at each other or what? Do lightning bolts scorch the air?

Nevertheless, wish I could be there.

Vraith, that was brilliant...especially when my slow little brain remembered who did that song back in the day.

It's a fun convention - I've been going since '96. And will, of course, be in Columbus next year. :-)

I'm starting to make plans. There's not alot of information available on programming, so I don't know what to expect, what's the best days to attend, etc. I would appreciate some pointers from Romeo and CJenn. ;)

For those who are considering attending, please bear in mind that registration rates jump from $125 to $150 on June 15. If you are going, there are savings to be had by getting registered NOW.

Wow, SD, good thing I registered a couple weeks ago, huh?

Also folks, keep in mind that if you can't afford the WFC, there seems to be something called the "Buckeye Book Fair"on Nov. 4-ish that was free last year and that SRD will also be at. So, all that you'd need to do is come! Making no absolute promises as of now, but I might be able to provide some transportation from the airport to your hotel, and possibly back again! ( I just need to figure out where that airport is :P )

Port Columbus International Airport is in the southern part of the city. I flew in and out of there several times in the last six months during my brief period of employment...

Columbus is a day's drive from Chez Aliantha. Hmm, I suppose I'd better decide whether I'm going...

Well I am out. I am going to my Dad's 70th birthday party later that month so I'll already be taking time off and spending my cash on flying to Virginia.

Well, crap, Jenn.

OTOH...you and I will definitely have to get some face time in while you're in VA. :)
