Brag away - you should be very very proud of yourself. I am looking forward to reading it.
You have my admiration, a whole lot of it.

Jeez, Romeo, that sucks. Hope it's not one of those deals where you'll have to spend hours doing identity theft cleanup....
Oh, and thanks, you guys!

In fact, there is. It's my grandmother's maiden name.

It means "rooster" in Czech.

Kick ass...way to go! And usually when people say they are published, it's always some publishing house I've never heard of. But, probably from working at Barnes & Noble, I've heard of Calderwood Books. Though now I can't think of what I might have seen, as none of the books I saw in their listings are ones I recognize. So maybe there is another Calderwood something or other I'm confusing it with. Then again, maybe not.
Regardless, congrats! And I see you have two other books from them as well. I didn't realize.

This is my first novel.

The others are short stories. Joy edited the first three KW Anthologies before she went pro. When she started her publishing house, she asked some folks here for permission to put their anthology submissions up for sale. Xar has two books there and iQuestor has one as well.
They're all really good, btw. Y'all should buy them all.

That's cool.
I always wonder what determines the names an author uses.
Thanks.

Of course. And no, I don't use it as a security question on any websites...

So the publisher was originally a KW member? That's kinda cool.
And I went to the website, so I now know your real name [unless that's a psuedo], where you live....and that they aren't taking new submissions till at least the fall.

Dragonlily is still a KW member. She's not around a whole lot these days, but I've seen her in the General Lit forum fairly recently.
Pen name? I'll never tell.
