A sketch I put together last night. I keep envisioning something akin to Just Cause 2 and Monster Hunter Tri with this one. I need more King Kong movies, games and books. Flinging poop attack away.

I'd have thought there'd be more King Kong games around, now you mention it.
I like the facial details. Kong and Large Dinosaur (since I'm not sure of its identity) both have great expressions of aggression.

Here's a character sheet with a break down of names and size.
I lay the blame on Rammstein for the idea. This song was playing
www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBcu8YWs7uM and I got these great images of this brutal blackish T-rex from various scenes of a King Kong movie. It was giving the great ape a run for his money on who ruled the island. I can say that Peter Jackson was directing a sequel set in the present day in my head that afternoon. The aggression in the characters drawn are influenced by my tastes in music. I think I'm going to show all the stages from here to the finished piece in this thread.
Ultimately I'd like to see a game come out of it if I could have my way. A Massive Free Roam Map allowing up to 12 players with full on customization of their characters and class. Here's to imagination on a boring Sunday.

The Dweller's very impressive, and for some reason I find Thoth particularly pleasing.

Okay, finally I have the completed inked sketch. Now I have to lay my base colors, then details, and final effects. The original is 11 x 14, but when I go to print I'm going double the size and frame for the fair. The kids should love it.
Glad you like Thoth. I love owls and I keep thinking about the ancient Barn Owl in the Secret of NIMH when I was drawing the character and design.

Very impressive. Thoth looks spectacular in flight.
By the way: Amok - reference or coincidence?

Being a fan of Donaldson and Tolkien... I would say coincidence.
