Attention all Gravin Threndor purists...

A
new poll regarding the "pre-eminent" forum of the Watch has been posted, and GT isn't even listed as an option! So, go vote "Other" and then list
Gravin Threndor in thread.
*sheesh*
...with the options listed, you would think this was an SRD-themed forum or something...

Would purists post there?
Somehow, I do not think so
But mutts like me will...

Well, some who claim to be purists took part in the Watchies, so you never know...

I didn't. I do this purist shit properly.

Would GT purists be those who mainly hang out here? What are the Watchies?

Pre-eminence is sort of the antithesis of a poll... the pre-eminent forum is inherantly the best, regardless of (even in spite of) popular opinion. I reject the idea that a poll on the subject even matters.
Menolly wrote:...with the options listed, you would think this was an SRD-themed forum or something...

Given that the "SRD forums" category is still at 0%, one might disagree with you, there.
Seska Karantanija wrote:Would GT purists be those who mainly hang out here? What are the Watchies?
The Watchies are the annual users poll awards, with like a bajillion categories. Each category had its own thread, and I decided that if there's an entire thread ABOUT "the best deity game in GT" that thread must also be a GT thread. So I was okay to post there, and voting itself was done by PM.
So... it was safe, at least in my mind. (Not to discount Dorian's totally valid interpretation of a GT Purist. He's obviously been doing it longer than me.)
Heh. I'm a GT Vegetarian, he's a GT Vegan.

By the way, did you know that being a non GT Vegan is harmful to all non GT purists? And the Environment? And mother earth. For the sake of your kids futures, you should all be full blown GT vegans!

It's scary out there. I don't want to leave the safety of GT.

Well, based on the number of times I've (DPJ, you own some small fraction of this blame as well) started talking about one game in the OOC thread of another game... which I guess is a big no-no, even though the players in one of the games are in the other game (or in DPJ's case, he's lurking equally on all of them)... but, it seems to matter to some people.
So, let's take this GT Purists thread that Menolly created and hijack it for GT purposes. (The idea of hijacking someone's thread so as not to be be off-topic on a bunch of other threads amuses me, by the way.)
In summary:
1) I'm a junkie, but I'm pushing games on others to validate my lifestyle choice.
2) Requiem should be coming back (yay Lore)!
3) Zombie Apocalypse II is starting shortly (yay Lore)!
4) Calvin doesn't get subtle comments.
5) Everybody give a big thanks to Avatar, 'cause he's probably going to have to migrate a whole bunch of threads back out of Archive status. Avatar, if you have a paypal account, I think you deserve a beer on us.
6) Odin probably won't be able to tear himself away from Pantheon or Acropolis long enough to finish processing the Aesir turn until early July.

and yet...
Great summary, goat.

Having been kicked out
(OK, asked to relocate)
From some other threads
I'm moving my gab
and my perseverations
Over to this thread
I will still show up
Elsewhere, most assuredly
Mostly on-topic
But I'll try to keep
The off-topic ramblings
Out of other games
This may not work well
Like keeping Watchy comments
In discussion threads
But, to keep the peace
And not annoy the Sheriff
I'll try to be good...

*maybe Nyx and Virelai will score some points with the Autarch and/or the King of the city after all*

You rid the City
Of a dangerous menace
Virulent haiku!

nah...
As long as it is related to game
I am sure your's and Nyx's haiku
as well as the Autarch's
(who is quite good at it himself)
is more than welcome.

My father used to say that the only reward you got was the withholding of punishment. (He was quoting something from the military, not a household rule.)
[
It's interesting that Menolly still had to post something in the thread we were vacating.]

Only because it wrecked your attempt at having the last post in every GT forum that you can view again...

For someone who doesn't want to offend the Autarch by over-posting, you take big risks just to thumb your nose at me. Anyway, I was nowhere near having all the posts then. So you didn't even take anything away from me.

Silly.
I posted there in
agreement with you about threadjacking this thread for the purpose you described.
The "thumbing [my] nose at [you]" was my response here to you noting I had the last word there.
...all still right with the world, DPJ?
