I am trying to keep away from reading the forum now the arc is out but I have to know what you lucky people think of it

No, thank you! It would be interesting to see what people thought about it, but it's good to know that the mods here have my back so that I don't have to completly avoid this thread until mid-October!

I'd like to hear a "better than FR" or "as good as the 1st and 2nd Chrons" myself! But nothing beyond that.

Would be interesting that the story those have read isn't the real book being released. If SRD pulled a fast one.

It's the real one...I don't think that SRD has the time to be writing bogus texts....

What would be funny though, is if it is the real text... but he asked Romeo, Jenn, or whoever to make a few crucial changes before it got leaked

AATE got leaked early, and can be read somewhere? WHERE ?!?!??!?? lol

Not 'leaked' per se. Publishers release trade paperback Advance Reader Copies (ARCs) usually to bookstores as part of getting the 'market' ready for release. The final hardcover will be identical to the ARC except for some typographic corrections.

While they are released 'not for resale', many show up on eBay.

I have it but haven't read it yet. When I start, I'll be unable to put it down. Corruption comes with a price.

I enjoyed AATE. I need to read the first two again, but I like how it ... is addressing things. However, I think my favorite is still Fatal Revenant. Followed by AATE and then Runes. We will see upon rereading where I come out.

It is also hard to place against the other series. Overall, I probably like the second chronicles best. But that is only because I felt the Power that Preserves dragged for me.

Mhoram and Foamfollower still stand out as some of the strongest characters of the series.

I enjoyed FR far more than runes as the story really started to take off then - rather like the differnce between FK an ADAHGA in the gap series and I am hoping for more of the same from AATE !

AATE was pretty good. Things really take off - some questions are finally answered and we lose some people, but the action and the writing is some of the best since White Gold Wielder. I would prefer some thing would've come out different but it is Stephan's world. All in all, a must read.
