You need a third option...something along the lines of "er..."

Better than sex? Hmmm...... Well, it certainly lasts longer (unless you are Sting of course - have you ever tried to read for 5 hours solid), it ain't as messy (unless you eat corn flakes at the same time) and it doesn't cost as much (hey - we all pay in one way or another y'know) so - yes, I guess it could be. Now having sex WHILE reading TC at the same time........!
