I never pictured her boobs so big.
I like the pained expression.
And she should be crying.

Hue, I like where you are going with this. Perhaps just a tad too much with the crows feet and the jowls - she's looking closer to 50 than the 30 that she should be. The hair is spot on for me, and most of the other facial features I like. As for HLT's comment -- one man's gratuitous womanliness is another mans big boobs.

I thought she was in her mid-40s in the third Chronicles?

On the first page of The Wounded Land was wrote:Though she was only thirty, she felt old, unlovely, and severe.
(Yes, Covenant was older than Linden.)

Yeah, and she needs to be stabbing Covenant in the back. And maybe a badge/button, that says,
"I am a witch. Just wait till I've finished making my broomstick"
Other than that, I like it. Pretty much how I imagined her hair style.

Hate to say this.. but the pics make her look like an
Appalachian Stumpjumper.
Remember , she is a doctor. Such people in the health care area have always had a thing with details. No matter how bad the gene pool they came from, or how much of the ugly stick they were beatin with, they always
have a soften and clean appearance about them.
Even when they need to bathe.

Technically, I think you are there, Hue. Any discussion at this point is one of taste and temperment.
Yet somehow ... I cannot warm up to this person. (Don't say it, THOOLAHs.)
I think it's a certain fierceness in the eyes. Maybe your intent was that she was scrutinizing something? However, if you consider it her normal appearance ... she looks mean, as in mean to people. Can you spin up a lighter, more intelligent-looking version of the eye area? Something doctorish...

I agree with Wayfriend, technically, you are very much there as far as my mind's eye. The one thing I think could be improved for my personal interpretation is indeed in the intenseness of the eyes. To me, those display too much confidence for Linden (Unless her back is against the wall and she's actually taking action with power). When Linden is at peace (IE: Not literally fighting for her and other people's lives), she has no self confidence.
Those eyes, I believe, would work perfect for an action pose where she is exerting power in a fight (Or healing).
At rest, she needs a lack of confidence in them, IMHO.

The eyebrows.. there's some angry look to them.
and around the mouth between the upper lip and nose..
too puffy.

Ok hue and bone, I was a bit harsh on Linden as I was in a super-grumpy mood at the time.
Linden's character has been undergoing development for many years now.
The first picture is definately the Wounded Land Linden. The second more like the One Tree Linden.
In the Runes of the Earth, Linden has been attempting to make jokes, despite her predicament. And in Fatal Revenant she has found a way to stop the tears. I'd say as she becomes more in touch will the Earthpower and with her Healthsense it will continue to make her prettier and prettier.
Looking forward to her further development in the next installments.
