Anyone see this yet? It's a hoot. The trailers don't express just how much fun this movie is. I can't wait to see it again.

I won't tell you what RED stands for. Better to find out while you're watching. Some of you may already know, but I didn't.

Go see it. I mean it.

Yeah I went last night to the opening in Sydney.

Its a ball of fun, fast paced, great action shots:
Spoiler
....the shot of Bruce Willis leaving a moving car to shoot up his pursuer is awesome!
The cast is enormous and features Mary-Louise Parker as well as Bruce, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovic, Helen Mirren, Brian Cox, Karl Urban and Ernest Borgnine, Richard Dreyfuss and Julian McMahon. I mention ML first for three reasons, firstly she is in almost every scene of the movie and is the real co-star to Willis, secondly and despite that, she hardly appears on any of the pre-match credits and thirdly she is very cute (despite edging towards 50) a fact I'd noted when she played on the West Wing.

Plot is not massively complicated but the movie stays right on the line of playing it seriously with some laughs, there's enough gravitas to the action and enough buy-in, that the laughs are easy to achieve and don't spoil the tension, but just relieve it slightly...very well constructed movie(imo).

Definitely worth going to see on the big screen!

Another film based on a graphic novel. Awesome. We know what to expect. Time to turn the brain off and just enjoy some pure entertainment. The theme of old grizzled veterans vs young uns is always good. Bit disappointed with the PG-13 rating but hey i'm sure it's enjoyable. The shot of Malkovich shooting the RPG in slomo was pretty *cough* cheesy *cough* awesome.

All in all might be one to watch at the big screen. Saw the poster for this at the theatre today, and while Helen Mirren (and practically everyone) are just plain badass looking in it, I'm pretty sure even John Malkovich's 'crazy' face can't make pistol shells eject from a grenade launcher...

I had a blast. It's a pretty mediocre plot, but the stars (ALL of them) make this a really cool ride.
