Before the Bone Construct topic is diverted any further. Here we are, ladies and gentlemen: The Official Roger Covenant AATE topic.

The one with the fiery hand and quick tongue. Friend of croyel and Cavewights in the Land, psychotic killer in the real world.

Discuss his appearances and it's implications in this book, or elsewhere.

I know I requested it, but I hate Roger so I didn't really want this thread to be created. SUCK-er!

J/K!

I actually think an entire book of the Chrons should be devoted to Roger.

Ok, in all seriousness, you asked on the previous thread:

Certainly, LF knows that he who lives by the sword also dieth by the sword. So if Roger is capable of manipulating others then he is equally capable of being manipulated, particularly in terms of his greed for infinitely more power. But Roger is unaware of the fact that more power brings less, the elohim being the most powerful and most impotent of them all.

Despite Roger's lack of foreground presence, AATE contained moments of brilliant writing. But if the story were to be told to my complete satisfaction, yet another book would have to be written. SRD has a way of wrapping things up very quickly. The cavewights served a very similar purpose in the previous book. I would have far preferred if the cavewights had flown into battle on gryphons. Wouldn't you? But alas, they always remain foot troops easily dispatched through blasts of wild magic. Put Roger on a gryphon at least, or perhaps on the back of a sandgorgon.
