I'm feeling pretty good. I got that last post in the other thread, and all. Probably outta take the day off now, and just enjoy the moment.

I was invited to make one of the first posts in this thread, so here I am. I'm OK just a little achy from lugging around a large Christmas tree and hitting the gym hard. 53 degrees in Albuquerque...So enjoy the new thread, and remember no whining or letting anything bad in life happen to you!

Doing all right. Took my lunch break to try to do holiday family pictures with the wife and the two toddlers...you can imagine the chaos that ensued!! :D

I can just picture that chaos, Rob!
But I bet it was a blast anyway.
I hope you'll share the pictures when you get them.

I'm a little achy today too -- yoga on Saturday, swimming and cutting our Yule tree yesterday. Apparently using a saw while lying on one's side in the dirt works one's core. Who knew?

Anyway, the tree is up and I *think* the shopping might be done. 8O

Thought I was far enough ahead that I could maybe relax this weekend. Then I found out that the Secretarial Dept. cookie exchange is scheduled for Monday, which means I'll have to bake.

I won't die I won't go away I'll always be here.
No good asking me I won't speak.

On another note, except for a couple of finals, the semester is done. I can finally breathe a little easier

Great. Our release party for the Fall issue is on Saturday. I'll post a link as soon as we have the pdf up on the website.

Mangoes were on sale today, so I got a few and a bottle of vinegar....well, three bottles, I'm trying to decide which type (white or apple cider) will be better.
There's too much snow here, but at least it's staying mostly off the roads. Transported a couple-hundred pounds of salt to the ol' workplace.
Passed all my classes:) I'll be able to progress onward on my goal of graduation... which is a load off my mind.

Congrats, Orlion! Uh...what are you planning to do with mangoes and vinegar? (Not sure I want to know the answer, actually...)

Why, eat them, of course! ;) It's how some Nicaraguans ate them, sliced with some salt and doused in vinegar. Just remembering the old country...:P Though the vinegar is mostly for cleaning out the tea keatle and cooking.

Interesting! I've never thought about eating mangoes with vinegar or salt. But then I don't get people who put salt on their tomatoes either.... ;)

Indeed. In the realm of salt & fruit, I am only familiar with putting it on cantelope. My mother did that.

Tomatoes require salt. Mangoes and vinegar though...uh...no. *shudder* Mangoes are for eating in the pool on a hot summer day. (That said, apple cider vinegar is better than the white stuff.)

Me, I feel...uh...I'm not sure. :D Just bought myself a little 4x4...good for going climbing and hiking and whatnot...never spent this much on something I could have lived without before.

I'm tired. Just got home from work. Missed the stinking bus by about five minutes so I just walked to the BART station and now I am extra worn out. Closing tomorrow and Wednesday and then I have Thursday and Friday off. I have exciting plans of laundry. :P
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

Anticipatory. 10 minutes to go!

(Nevermind that my intent to start off well rested was scuppered by one of the worst night's sleep I've had in ages.)
