I swear most of my brain has been fried during the past year - but apparently I am no closer to my goal of world domination which is sad

Perhaps I can shed some light on what Menolly and the Dread Poet were saying, since both Jay and Vain are so eloquently professing confusion.

2009 Watchy winners were announced in February. The user items which winners have the option of purchasing and displaying in the left margin of their posts are still not available in the store, despite the fact that 2010 Watchy season is almost upon us.

It is understood that Jay has had a busy and momentous year...and that apparently when he did try to put the items in the store, he ran into some technical difficulties.

Menolly created a pro tempore Watchy item image which some of the winners display in their signatures, as well as a WotY image which Fire Daughter has made part of Furls' sig.

What I believe Menolly is suggesting (and DPJ anticipating) is that Vain assist in getting the official 2009 Watchy items added to the store.

(Yes, I know -- I am a pedant...)

Yeah, if it has to be done, then it needs to be done less enthusiastically this year. One post in each forum and one PM at the most.

Until Watchy tags are generated for last year's winners, is there any point in doing the Watchies at all? I like nominating Watchers for the different categories; I always like to see the reasons someone is nominated for a category. But there should be user tags associated with winning a category, as in years past.

IMO, anyway.

There were Watchies before them. I'm sure it will be just fine.

Between this ID and my Pantheon characters, I've won at least four that spring to mind. But looking at my profiles, it seems I've only ever bothered purshasing one, from 2007. The nominating is fun, but the item doesn't concern me at all.

Heck, the winning doesn't concern me, either. I shouldn't have won the one I won this year, and voted for someone else.
