Is anyone else excited about The Wise Man's Fear?

I really enjoyed The Name of The Wind more for the prose than the story which did drag in places. But I'm really excited about The Wise Man's Fear that's to be released in early March.
Anyone else excited?

I'm very excited. I wish I remember more of TNotW than I do, but I know I liked it a whole lot.

F&F,
I'm finishing up my re-read of TNOTW in order to get ready for WMF. The prose is as good as I remember. However, I sincerely hope Rothfuss is a little better at plot progression this time out. The book, in the last third stagnates.

The problem for me is the stupid romance. Those two are as bad as Who's the Boss.

F&F,
Agreed. Denna is a weak Character. However, I wonder if Rothfuss throws her in there as a hint that Kvothe is an unreliable narrator?

Nah. She's just there so he, and we, will get really pissed when what's-his-name kills her.

F&F,
Her alleged patron and suspected Chaundrian "Master Ash"? I'm really wondering about whether Master Lorren of the archives is actually Chaundrian.

*sigh* It's been too long already, so I don't remember names. I'm talking about the fellow student who's from a really powerful family.

duchess says it came out yesterday. I didn't notice, because the final Malazan book came out yesterday. Heh. But I'll certainly be checking it out soon.

I'm 120 pages in. The writing is as good if not better than the first. One passage has already brought me to tears.

I've been preoccupied the last few days, but I did pick it up at Borders after lunch.

I enjoyed it. The prose is as good as before. It fleshes out the larger world of the "Four Corners" very nicely. At first I thought it didn't move the larger story very much, however, there are some great nuggets hidden in the text about Kvothe, his family, and where the story will end up.
I still want more information about the Chandrian and Haliax.

Good to hear. I'm about 50 pages in and hope to put a dent in it this weekend.

Damn. It's been too long. I don't remember ANYTHING about the words
Chandrian or
Haliax.

F&F,
It's worth a re-read before you start WMF. The Chandrian are the group lead by Haliax that killed Kvothe's parents and his troop of Edema Ruh.

Ah. Yup, I remember them. Yeah, it would be good to reread. Not sure I'll get to it soon, though. I'll probably just read WMF, and hope a good amount of stuff comes back to me.

F&F,
It's really worth a reread of NOTW before you hit WMF. There are a lot of nuggets in NOTW that don't become obvious until you read WMF.
