Does anyone think, as I do, that Episode I sucked. It was completely flat, no excitment apart from the lightsaber fights with my brother Darth Maul and co.

I don't think E1 sucked at all. It might have been lackluster. It may have been overly dramatic, filled with political posturing and lacking in the usual Star Wars fun, but it didn't suck. Its just a semi dull chapter in a wonderful story. :-)

I did not particularly care for the movie. I think Portman came up with a new definition for "wooden"...though she is certainly very beautiful, and physically looks the part...I liked Neeson and Mcgregor in their roles quite a lot...Jar Jar has got to go, though... :?

You might want to edit that post, Ryzel! :LOLS:

Anyway, it doesn't matter WHAT happened or didn't happen. Darth Maul was worth any price!!! He is extraordinary!! I advise everyone to check out the book, and read the final battle between the two Jedi and Maul. It's quite incredible! Terry Brooks wrote it from Qui's pov. He did a great job getting into Qui's mind, and seeing the mental and emotional side of that fight!!

You didn't like the part where Jar Jar gets his hand stuck in Anie's pod racer and then paralizes his tongue? What are you made of Darth? :-)

It's funny you should mention her performance that way. Wooden. Well, my response to her had something to do with wood too, but I don't think I mean that the same way you gals do... 8O :screwy:

It is the moment itself that I'm shocked by. Natalie Portman? She doesn't look anything like the girls in the magazines you used to have. Not by a long shot. :-)

I'm sure its not cultured. Not seasoned. Not experienced. Not older. I'm sure it is..."Same as it ever was. Same as it ever was. Same as it ever was. Same as it ever was!"
