Hi Stephen! Guess who's coming to dinner?

The awards on my wall have been won in Amtgard. One was given to me by a queen, and one (which gave me the title of "Lord") was given by a king.
The one I am most proud of was a local award-- the order of the warrior.
I had to win three consecutive events in a tournament to get this. I won four: shortsword, sword and shield, pole arm, and greatsword.
Some people win many warriors and go on to become warlords or sword knights-- 16 year old kids who fight and train constantly.
The fact that I began competing at the age of 38, and never seriously trained as a fighter proves I'm a badass!

LZ: Absolutely no disrespect intended -- I am looking forward to meeting you and have no combat skill whatsoever anymore -- but being a badass is NOT the point in meeting SRD.

Actually, now that I think of it, the only thing cooler than meeting SRD would be meeting him and sparring with him!

Actually, what i'm curious about is how often you wear your bare chest and leather vest in public?
And, in case I make the 'fest, I'm thinking maybe I should bring my swords...just in case...I mean...I didn't feel the need for self-defense the only other time I was in NM...but those pics make me feel a little wary.
